About

Hi! I’m April.

I’m a collaborative and creatively-driven brand marketer with broad experience across a diverse range of brands and industries—both road-tested and emergent. My expertise spans talent-driven startups, brand creation, marketing planning, strategic partnerships, cross-functional team leadership, and organizational excellence. I’m passionate about building brand ecosystems and bespoke partnerships that create cultural currency and deliver outsized market returns.

Currently, I consult with founders and brands on brand development, marketing strategies, partnerships, and creative initiatives.

Previously, as Head of Brand Marketing at Language, I led cross-functional teams to create, incubate and accelerate talent-driven brands and platforms from concept to launch. We partnered with nascent brands and ventures on everything from brand conception and product development to storytelling and go-to-market strategies. Our clients included Tyler the Creator, ZOMOZ, Tommy Dorfman, Charlize Theron, Wilmer Valderamma, Concordia Studio, Mac Miller, Scarlett Johansson, Portia de Rossi, XPRIZE, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Zoe Saldana, and more.

Prior to Language, I held senior marketing positions at Bugaboo, where I led annual planning, seasonal product launches, brand collaborations, and campaigns; Myspace (2.0), where I was embedded with Justin Timberlake’s creative team to reestablish Myspace to what it was at its best—a home for the creative community, providing tools for promotion & amplification; and Gap Inc./Banana Republic, where I led brand marketing, campaigns, and creative programs for high-profile partnerships, including multi-year programs with Mad Men, Virgin America, and Project Runway. And I began my career in media planning at Fallon, the best ‘brand bootcamp’ advertising agency at the time, IMHO.
